What I'm up to these days
What is this?
Here I keep an up-to-date list of the things I'm focusing on and what I'm doing. Think of it as a more relevant and interesting "About" page. Inspired by nownownow.com.

It's summer already? I feel like DC just skipped right past spring into 90+ degree days. I am excited to get more sun though - it's great when the sun is out when I'm walking to my train station in the morning and still out with enough time for a run on my walk home from work.
We also just booked our first cruise together to give us a summer activity to look forward to. I never thought I'd do a cruise before (I'm more of a mountain backpacking-type of guy for my summer vacations), but we honestly just want to get away from work for a week an relax and get some sun. I'll try to disconnect and read a lot on the cruise too and come back feeling refreshed and a little less burnt out.
Currently reading:
- Assignment: Pentagon: How to Excel in a Bureaucracy (Daniel M. Gerstein and Perry M. Smith) - a practical guide to succeeding in my workplace
- The Apollo Murders (Chris Hadfield) - fun thriller
- lots of international security papers, some rereads from grad school...the best of the best may make it to the reading list page.
Currently watching
- The West Wing, season 1 (my first time watching, it really holds up well!)
Currently listening to
- I've been going to the gym consistently for a while now, and Sleep Token has been my go-to lifting music these days. That, and the occasional K-Pop Demon Hunters OST relisten...
Projects
- I recently purchased a 3D printer (Prusa Core One+) after not having one for my years in Korea, and it's so much fun! I'll post a few of the projects here as I work on some ideas. I'm currently printing an organizational system for my garage tool chests called Gridfinity to get my garage toolboxes in perfect order.
